This is the only American made Shave Ice machine, which rotates a block of ice across a hardened Stainless Steel Blade. When you have adjusted the shaving pressure and blade height and feed rate, you can quickly shave enough to fill a #1407 cup and, the serving will weight no more than 4 oz. In fact, a skilled operator learns how to properly make the adjustments based on the "feel" or perceived weight of the shaved ice in the cup. Truly "FINER THAN NATURE’S FINEST" is the type snow the Shavemaster II produces.
The Shavemaster is America’s answer to those block ice shavers made in the Far East. Ours is by far the safest. Underwriter's Laboratory dictates that the ice block holding/shaving compartment have a "Kill Switch" installed. In other words, if for any reason the block breaks loose, cracks, or otherwise goes out of control, the heavy-duty latching switch holds it safely until the operator can turn the motor off. As soon as you open the door, the electricity to the motor is turned off as well. The see-through poly-carbonated door is virtually "bullet proof!"The Shavemaster II turns a little faster than the machines made in the Far East. With the added measure of operator safety, you can speed it up just a little. Quiet "V" belt drive eliminates the noisy gear chatter. Stainless Steel heavy duty pedestal. Cast stainless steel ice block retaining disk. Cast aluminum lower and upper base. V belt pulleys plated to prevent rust. If you are the operator in your Shave Ice setup, you will actually get slightly finer Shave Ice with block rather than cubes. In all fairness, we emphasize that it takes a little more skill to get perfect performance from a Shavemaster II, whereas the Hawaii’s Finest ® family of Shave Ice machines are pretty much a "set the blade and start shaving!" operation.
