BACKGROUND AND HISTORY OF R & F INTERNATIONAL

In 1974, a war broke out between the Greek and Turkish communities on the Island of Cyprus in the Eastern Mediterranean. This war caused many people and families to lose all they had, over 300,000 people were displaced, and many died.

A young couple, which had been successful in business on the Island of Cyprus, were allowed to enter the US and eventually, though many hardships, became US citizens. This is the couple who still owns and operates this business, R & F International Corp.

The owners would repair and refurbish used ice cream and slush machines at night, in the garage, then go out during the day and sell these machines to restaurants and other food oriented establishments. Machines were also loaned free to locations which would purchase mixes and product used by these machines. This system was very attractive to many customers and the company flourished.

In 1986 the Company outgrew its warehouse space and moved to its present location. It has become established as one of the premier suppliers and distributors of the equipment and products it handles and is probably known as the largest supplier of FREE loaner machines in Florida. There is a sales staff, repair personnel and office staff to assist you with all your needs.

With the introduction of better communications and increased international trade, the company has expanded its export business to all regions of the world, but more specifically and dramatically, exports have shot up in the Central and South American Regions and to the Caribbean Islands.

R & F International is committed to serve its domestic and world-wide customers on a continuing basis, striving for excellence in its equipment, products and services, as is evidenced by many loyal customers who have been doing repeat business with us for the past 15 years. Some of them ordering equipment and products sight unseen.
