Improved Floss Bands
No porcelain coatings…they are patented!When porcelain floss bands chip, the customer could actually eat the glass-like porcelain slivers. Our floss bands do not use porcelain – rather a space age technology type of high temperature coating is used. They are a little more expensive – but should last a lifetime under normal use. CAUTION: NEVER TRY TO CLEAN A FLOSS BAND IN A SELF-CLEANING OVEN – NEVER TRY TO "BURN OUT THE CARBON" FROM A RIBBON WHILE IT IS STILL IN THE BAND (BUT OFF THE MACHINE). This is about the only way to destroy these virtually lifetime floss bands.

Pro Floss Ribbons
We have been making our own ribbons since 1949! These are the best floss
ribbons made – the highest production available anywhere. We use the best resistance
wire, plus solid nickel lead wire with insulation for your protection, plus nickel
terminals. It doesn’t cost you extra to get these "high pro" floss ribbons.
Note: When you replace ribbons, make sure that you remove any of the old hard asbestos
gaskets – replace with the rubberized type. No need to replace the phenolic head
gaskets that have been in use for the past several years on all Gold Medal floss machines.

#3010 Whirl Grip Floss Stabiliser
This patented item really prevents the cotton candy
from flying out of the pan. The plastic screening material is held tightly in 6 places,
with space behind it between the clips. The floss readily adheres to the screening and
makes spinning a cotton candy cone very easy. A "must" for every cotton candy
operator. 7 stainless clips included.

Machine Maintenance /Repair Kit
When you sell a bag of Cotton Candy for $1.00, $2.00, $3.00
and up, you can not afford to have "down time." If you operate your Gold Medal
Floss machine according to instructions, you should get years and years of dependable
service. However, there are a few "repair/replacement" parts that are smart to
have on hand. (Items that you can’t buy at the local hardware store, for example.)
Note: None of the maintenance kits include a replacement floss band. The jet age
technology we apply to the insulation on a floss band has created a virtual lifetime
expectation. The Econo Floss/Floss Boss Kits include a motor switch and heat switch.

#3198 and #3199 Kits contain the appropriate ribbons, brush springs, replacement brushes, etc. that are appropriate for the machine. If you have the S.H.O. version, this type machine requires two single bands, and is priced accordingly on special order.

Floss Machine Overhaul Service
If your machines get heavy use, you may want the head turned down in a precision lathe – you might want new ribbons – and, a general look-see and overhaul on whatever needs it. We always replace the ribbons with new, and if possible, burn the carbon out of your old ribbons and return them to you. You’ll be money ahead if you get a professional winter overhaul once every few years. Call for scheduling – available time fills up quickly.
